Committees

The planning and implementation of most PLNA activities is handled by volunteer groups — advisory groups, short-term task forces, and committees. All groups are supported by PLNA staff. Meetings are generally held at the PLNA office and travel expenses are reimbursed. When appropriate, meetings are conducted by conference calls and e-mail.

Committees have ongoing, results-oriented tasks which require meeting at least once a year. The interaction between group members promotes effective planning and evaluation of tasks.
